CONTACT (FAMILY TIME) WITH BIRTH FAMILIES
This course enables carers to understand the complexity of the issues involved in planning and managing family time with birth parents, and to develop the knowledge and skills to play their part with confidence. Carers will understand the emotional and practical issues associated with family time and will explore their own role in promoting and improving this contact.

- Consider the complexity of family time for the child, birth parents, foster carers and children’s services
- Identify the role of a foster carer
- Offer ideas of how to enhance the quality of contact
