CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AWARENESS
This course supports foster carers to define the different forms of child sexual exploitation, explain what a healthy relationship looks like and identify the risks of both sexual and criminal exploitation. It outlines how to provide a safe base to ensure children are protected as much as possible and to identify vulnerabilities in young children.
OBJECTIVES
- Explain what is meant by child sexual exploitation and how different forms of abuse are linked
- Identify the risks of child exploitation and how to minimise them
- Demonstrate how to provide a safe base to ensure children are protected
- Explain what we mean by consent when caring for children in care
