TRAINING SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARD FOR MAINSTREAM CARERS
This course supports Mainstream Carers to follow The TSD Standards, a national minimum benchmark that sets out what foster carers should know, understand and be able to demonstrate within the first 12 months of approval. It covers the relevant induction, training and support, and continuing professional development that Foster Carers should receive.
OBJECTIVES
  • Explain what is meant by Training Support & Development Standards
  • List the seven standards that foster carers need to comply with
  • Develop an individual learning plan in accordance with the standards
  • Establish how to collate evidence of Training and Development Standards
