This webinar supports Foster Carers through the process of staying put when a young person remains with their foster carers following their 18th birthday. It will cover the eligibility criteria, the staying put process and the legislation in place.

  • Explain what is meant by staying put and how we can apply best practice
  • Discuss the importance of safer caring for carers and children
  • Establish how safer care protects the foster child and the family
  • Describe the role of the safer care policy
  • Explain how the fostering household can be involved
