The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has published estimates of the prevalence and nature of online bullying among children for the year ending March 2020 using data from the 10- to 15-year-olds’ Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW). Figures show that: around one in five (19%) of children aged 10 to 15 years experienced at least one type of online bullying behaviour, equivalent to 764,000 children; and nearly three out of four children (72%) who had experienced an online bullying behaviour experienced at least some of it at school or during school time.
