Following a legal challenge, the Government has updated its rules on how often certain people can leave their homes for exercise during the coronavirus outbreak. The amended guidance now states that where there is a specific health condition, individuals are able to leave their home more than once a day in order to maintain their health, and can also travel beyond the local area. This would allow someone with learning disabilities or autism to meet a need for regular exercise in a specific location.
The revised section of the guidance is published on the Gov.uk website, and further details can be found on the National Autistic Society website and in an article published in The Guardian.
