The Scottish Government has confirmed that schools will re-open full-time from 11 August, following scientific evidence and advice that it is safe to do so. Guidance developed with the Education Recovery Group, has been published to support local authorities, teachers and parents to prepare for the new term and minimise the risks of coronavirus transmission. Separately, the BBC reports that Deputy First Minister John Swinney has said that schools will not automatically close if a pupil tests positive for coronavirus.
