Coronavirus: returning to school

Unicef UK has published findings from a survey about schools reopening in the UK. A survey of 1,553 school staff members asking about priorities when schools reopened found that: 81% identified supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing, including bereavement support, as a priority and 53% identified supporting children who may have suffered from trauma or abuse during school closure. Keeping pupils and staff safe from coronavirus was the top priority identified by 91%.
