Kings College London has published the findings of a study conducted by the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce examining the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Children’s Social Care departments in 15 local authorities in England. The report considers the challenges that they faced during lockdown and reflects on what has been learned, and includes chapters on: Working with families in a pandemic; Foster care; Care leavers and unaccompanied young people seeking asylum; and Referrals of concerns about children’s welfare.
