Children’s rights ‘worryingly low’ on political agenda, charities warn

Children’s rights remain “worryingly low” on the political agenda in England, a coalition of charities supporting vulnerable young people have warned ahead of Human Rights Day (December 10).

A new report, led by the Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) and backed by 90 organisations, marks the start of a United Nations’ examination of the use of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in the UK.
