With a career spanning over 23 years, Dan Croft is one such individual.
Recently, Dan Croft’s tireless efforts and unwavering commitment have been recognised with the prestigious Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). As we celebrate this well-deserved achievement, we want to acknowledge the impact he has had and continues to have on the fostering system.
Outstanding contributions to fostering
Daniel has been involved in fostering since he was a child, when his family regularly opened up the home to foster children. Seeing first-hand the difference that foster homes can make, Daniel continued to support his family’s values and aspirations in terms of increased provision as part of his career. He has remained committed to the cause ever since.
At the tender age of 19, Daniel ran his own independent fostering agency and worked within schools and with national fostering agencies across the UK for the next 17 years.
For the past 32 years, Daniel has been committed to helping some of the UK’s most vulnerable children, now working with global teams in Canada, New Zealand, Norway, Ireland and Australia he’s pushing on to improve the lives of children globally.
An experienced leader in the field with a demonstrable history of working in the individual and family services industry, Daniel is highly skilled in management, is a passionate advocate for children’s rights, and continues to promote the role of fostering and support for current and prospective foster carers.
Daniel’s career clearly demonstrates his unwavering passion – especially given the number of roles and projects he undertakes simultaneously.
Time and time again he has proved that his dedication isn’t just professional; it’s a lifelong commitment to pursuing positive change within the fostering landscape.
