The long-awaited Care Review, promised in the Conservative Party manifesto, is set to begin “very imminently”, the children’s minister has said. Speaking at the National Adult and Children’s Services Conference, Vicky Ford promised further details of the review, including who had been chosen to chair the independent investigation, would be announced “shortly”. Ford also raised hopes that the government’s promised review of services for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) would soon be published.
