Grandparents Plus has launched its State of the Nation Report 2020, which examines how kinship carers feel their role affects their lives and the lives of the children they look after, and considers the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on kinship families. The report, based on responses from 561 carers, found that while kinship carers are positive about many aspects of their role, most continue to feel they do not receive adequate support from their local authorities. Grandparents Plus has responded to the findings by making a number of recommendations.
