The Children and Young People’s Commissioner Scotland has published the report of a Children’s Rights Impact Assessment (CRIA) undertaken by the Observatory of Children’s Human Rights Scotland to examine how emergency laws and policies developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted the human rights of children and young people in Scotland. The CRIA was framed by the 11 recommendations made by the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child and the report draws out a number of key high level recommendations, as well as providing valuable information and detailed evidence for decision makers, parliamentarians and human rights defenders.
